The project “Knowledge and Socio-Communicative Networks for Community Action” is a research process
developed in Altos de Cazucá — commune 4 of the municipality of Soacha, in the department of Cundinamar
ca —, resulting from the collaboration between the La Hoja and ComunicAcción research groups from the So
cial Work and Social Communication and Journalism academic programs at Corporación Universitaria Minu
to de Dios – Soacha University Center; carried out at the Biblioteca Popular Vuelos de Mariposas de Mayo.
The library is an autonomous space for community participation where women, children, and adolescents from the
territory coexist. In this first diagnostic phase, the project seeks to identify, together with the community, the socioeco
nomic and socio-communicative issues related to structural conditions of inequality, poverty, insecurity, and forced
migration expressed within the territory, using Participatory Action Research (PAR) as its methodological approach.
At this initial stage, the research initiative is aimed at consolidating, based on the diagnostic process, pathways
that will later enable the design of socio-communicative strategies to make social inequalities visible, access mecha
nisms for the enforcement of rights, and generate educational dynamics with a collective sense, in harmony with crit
ical and creative popular pedagogical processes conceived from territorial action and direct community experience
