Amongst the innovations within the Argentine University System during the first decade of the 21st century, the creation of the Innovation and Development Center for Communitarian Action in 2008 stands out. In its founding principles, a new model for University Extension is proposed, which we place within a rich history of valuable precedents, and it also includes innovative elements related to epistemological democratization, to the many times attempted –with few successful experiences– practice integrality (teaching/research/extension), to the implementation of a praxis exercise in extension actions. The objective of this collaboration is to account for the perspective built from the existence of the Center by replacing the notions of Territory, Intersectorality and Interdisciplinarity since they, in their concrete-situational interconnection, define our modality of carrying out university extension. Secondly, space is given to a reflection that brings up the dimensions that intersect in our interventions as simultaneous areas of training and construction of knowledge. Thirdly, the main tensions that have been experienced all these years and that collaborate in the establishment of the field of limits and scope of experiences of university territorialization that sought to be articulated with public policies are identified.
