Training and business support processes play an important role in women's entrepreneurship, as they enable greater development through the acquisition of the knowledge needed to effectively manage businesses. These processes become even more relevant when women are in vulnerable situations, as many of these ventures arise in response to the need to earn income and achieve economic autonomy in adverse social environments.
The objective of this research was to conduct a technical assessment to evaluate the changes and benefits experienced by 29 women from vulnerable areas as a result as a result of the training and support provided by an extension project aimed at strengthening women's initiatives.
A qualitative approach was used, with an exploratory scope and cross-sectional design. The methodological design was based on the Kirkpatrick Model, in order to conduct an in-depth analysis at four levels: reaction, learning, behavior, and results. The data collection technique was the semi-structured interview, and the data analysis was performed using Atlas.ti 25 software.
The results identified the progress made by women in their knowledge of marketing, financial management, business formalization, and business planning. However, several issues requiring further attention were identified, such as the use of technological tools, implementation of dissemination strategies, separation of personal and business finances, application of the business plan, and difficulties in formalizing the business.
