Abstract

The university extension is the mission systematically put into debate in the field of higher education in Argentina. Its importance as a key area of ties with the community puts it in a special place to rethink learning strategies and to reflect on training in social skills, so necessary in today's world. In this context, the learning and service projects as a form of curricular implementation of the extension are transformed into the instruments that contribute to a necessary educational renewal. In this work we will gather some central concepts about this particular type of projects and about the relevance of establishing indicators, among which the measure of student perceptions can be considered. Our objective was to analyze the degree of student satisfaction regarding these practices. For this, a consultation was carried out with students from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at UBA, who passed the compulsory Social Educational Practice subject, having completed the project Cardiovascular and Diabetes Detection of Risk Factors in Vulnerable Population, during the year 2022, through a validated Likert scale. The results obtained reflected a positive assessment regarding the impact, acquisition of social skills and particularities of the social practice developed.
