This article analyzes how the crosses between university extension and memory allow us to value the life's trajectories of those subaltern subjects whose voices are excluded from traditional historical sources. For this, we focus on the case of the Project of University Extension titled Rural History and Memory. The recovery of historical memory and identity belonging in the rural world of Buenos Aires, which is developed in the University Extension Secretariat of the National University of Quilmes. The methodology used is qualitative and is based on the analysis of a corpus of material that includes interviews, field records and (oral and written) stories.
